ALASKAN MALAMUTE PART 3

On the part 2 article, common health problems of an Alaskan Malamute were discussed. For Alaskan malamute 101 part 3 we will concentrate on the exercises that should be given properly to this kind of dog.
Reasonable amount of exercise is an essential for malamute dogs. This exercises includes long daily walks. But always remember, they also have limitations. Its because we must not harsh them especially in warmer weather. With addition to that the trainer or the master of that dog must also knowledgeable in what are the proper ways in walking your dogs.
In walking your dog, be sure that you are not walked by your dog. If you let your dog do that, it may form on its brain a kind of psychology that he is the master or superior and not you. As the famous saying states: "Leaders go first." This can possibly greatly affect the mentality and the personality of the dog you have. It is also a negative thing that if your dog is ahead, he or she will be stressed and not relaxed. The great reason for that, if the dog is ahead, or he is the leader, he will carry all the loads of problems. Not just like the dogs which are just following their masters, they are comfortable because they just depending on their masters or trainer. So there's no need for them to be stressed in order to handle everything.
As a master, you must also bear in mind that this is not a form of heeling. Its because as a human you are the one having the decisions for making your dog heel.
The continuation of this topic will be seen on the next part of my article that will be posted as soon as possible.
